About Us
Mission statement
We are a non-profit organization run by Brown alumni currently living in China. We aim to uphold Brown University’s name and values across China, help strengthen ties between Providence and the Mainland and provide a strong network for all Brown alumni, students, faculty and staff currently living in, visiting or interested in the Middle Kingdom.
We fulfill our mission by:
- Building a strong “on the ground” community of alumni through organized gatherings and speaker events
- Supporting the broader group of alumni, faculty and students by providing online forums for exchange of ideas, opportunities and contacts
- Promoting Brown University through public events, school outreach and alumni interviews
- Being a home-away-from-home for all Brown students currently studying abroad in China
- Working in close collaboration with the University Development Office and Brown’s China Advocacy Council.
Membership
As a result of our broad mission, our membership runs the breadth of the Brown family: Alumni from the four corners of the world as well as current Brown faculty, students and staff.
At this time, membership is free of charge for all Brown affiliated individuals as long as they maintain a valid @brown.edu or @alumni.brown.edu email address. To sign up, please click here.
Have you forgotten your SISD number or having other troubles signing up for the site? Please email us!
The club is at the service of its members and hopes to be the first port of call for all Brown affiliated individuals or groups with China on their mind.
