Class of 2013 / Admissions data
Mark Dembitz
2009-04-06
For the Class of 2013, Brown University received just under 25,000 applications for around 2,500 places. This is an all-time record and represents an increase of almost 20% over last year. While applications are increasing accross the board at the Ivies, the average is between 5% and 8%. Clearly, with a 20% jump, our Alma Mater is doing something right!
Of these 25,000 applications, 348 were from the People's Republic of China (also a record). Of these, 23 were admitted, representing an admissions rate of 6.6% and a further 34 have been waitlisted.
The Brown Club of China wishes to congratulate all the new admits and hopes to welcome them as members in the near future.
