New Brown students, old Brown students, alums, teachers and friends--

Come out this Friday night to Salud on Nanluoguxiang to meet and greet your fellow young Brunonians in China!  There are plenty of reasons to come and be merry: sending off the Beijing-based members of the class of 2013, cheering on the current students diligently studying 普通话 or working in this fine city, and welcoming recent grads who have made the excellent decision to settle here for the foreseeable future.  In addition to trading horror stories about Ratty food, advising the class of '13 on the culinary pitfalls and delights of Brown dining services and imbibing Salud's not half bad sangria, rum drinks or other fine potables, come out just to get know the community of your fellow young Brunonians who have a special place in their heart for the 'Jing.  Some members of the Brown Club of China will be there, yours truly among them.

For those who've never been to Salud before, it's a low-key, fairly inexpensive and fun Spanish-themed place on Nanluoguxiang with good tapas and bar food.  This gathering will be pretty informal - come whenever you want between 8 and 10 pm and bring friends if you feel like it.  If you have questions please call me on my cell, listed at the bottom of this email.
