Mr. Lu Xuedu has worked in project management, policy making and international negotiations on climate change since 1991. From 1996, as a chief Chinese negotiator at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, he played a significant role in domestic and international climate change policy-making. Mr. Lu has served four times on the CDM Executive Board and was appointed Vice-Chairman in 2005. In 2004, he chaired the Host Country Committee of the World Bank Carbon Finance Business. Today, he also acts as the China focal point for the Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum and for the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research. Mr. Lu Xuedu holds a doctorate in Engineering from Tsinghua University, and has served as a professor at Tongji University
