Dear fellow Brunonians! 

I (through my company Five Passes, LLC) am currently organizing a field trip for Brown alumni, current students, faculty and friends of Brown to P'yongyang, North Korea this August for the Mass Games!  This is one of the few times in the last fifty odd years that Americans have been granted access to the hermit kingdom. 

We currently will be joined by Professor Jim McClain (Chair of the History Department) and Professor Marie Lee (Author in Residence) and perhaps even Tomas Gold (Chair of Berkeley's East Asian Studies Program and IUP) for a 5 day field trip to this secretive state! 

The trip dates are from either August 13-17 or August 27-31(we are running both trips) and costs 8888 RMB (or $1299 plus your visa cost and Mass Games ticket) all inclusive from Dandong.  The trip will take in P'yongyang, Sinuiju (Chinese border), Kaesong and the DMZ (North-South border), Mt. Myohyang and Namp'o port.
