Junior Achievement China Seeking Development Associate in Beijing

Junior Achievement China (JA China), a rapidly growing education non-profit organization, builds partnerships between the business and education sectors to deliver much-needed business, economics, and character education programs in China. In the 2008-2009 academic year, we served more than 500,000 students, spanning primary schools through universities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and other cities.

JA China is seeking a Beijing-based associate to join our dynamic team and participate in our success in China. The associate will mainly handle grant proposals and reporting preparation, as well as assist with program development and trainings, public relations and other duties as requested.

The candidate should possess the following skills and abilities:

Ø         Native English speaker

Ø         Excellent English writing ability

Ø         Proficiency in Chinese (speaking and reading/writing) preferable

Ø         Preferably 2-3 years of work experience, preferably in China’s NGO sector

Ø         Broad knowledge of education issues in China and passion for JA China’s mission

Ø         Ability to show leadership and be proactive

Ø         Excellent communication and organization skills with strong attention to detail

Ø         Fluency in MS Office software

Ø         Ability to innovate and multi-task

Ø         Willingness to perform other job duties as requested
